It was never stressful because building pools is not their job, it’s their passion.
The Pool Construction Process
Building an in-ground pool the right way is a complicated process. We want you to have a good understanding of what that entails up-front – so there aren’t any surprises later. From the beginning of excavation to a pool full of water is an approximately 10–14-week process. Here is a basic overview of the stages of pool construction you can expect:
Design & Details
- Visual Inspection
- 3D Design and Revisions (No Cost)
- Contract Signed
- File Permits
- Utility Marking
1-3 Weeks
Dependent on client revisions to designs + permitting and other red tape.
Excavation & Skeleton Work
- Steel/Re-Bar Installation
- Plumbing & Forms Installed
- Inspection
Pool Taking Shape
- Gunite Installation
- Tile & Coping
- Concrete and Deck Work
Final Touches
- Equipment Installation
- Final Electric & Gas Hookup
- Rough Grading
- Cleanup
- Startup & Pool School
Approximately 10-14 Weeks
From beginning excavation to water in the pool. Weather is the biggest variable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you only build gunite pools?
We only want the best for our customers. The truth is fiberglass pools might last a few decades. Vinyl isn’t any better. Gunite, on the other hand, will likely last a century.
What should I look for when hiring a swimming pool contractor?
Look for licensed and insured contractors with experience, positive customer reviews, a strong portfolio and transparent pricing.
What red flags should I look out for with other pool contractors?
One of the biggest red flags is any contractor who requests 50% of the construction cost up-front. Sadly, it’s way too easy for that contractor to vanish once they’ve pocketed that 50%. It’s also important to ask about insurance.
Are you licensed and insured pool contractors?
Yes, we are fully licensed and insured and we comply with all safety and construction regulations.
How much experience do you have in pool construction?
We have more than 16 years of experience in designing, building and renovating residential and commercial pools. Our general construction experience stretches even farther back – for more decades than we care to admit!
Do you provide warranties on pool construction?
Yes, we provide warranties on workmanship, materials and equipment to ensure peace of mind for our clients.
What types of pools do your contractors specialize in?
We believe gunite (a.k.a. Shotcrete) is the best, high-quality, long-lasting solution for Oklahoma pools, so we only build and repair gunite pools.
How do you handle unexpected construction challenges?
We conduct a thorough site analysis before construction, anticipate challenges and have contingency plans to keep projects on track.
Can you remodel or renovate an existing pool?
Yes, we offer full pool remodeling as well as repairs. This includes resurfacing, adding new features and upgrading outdated pools.
Do you offer pool maintenance services after construction?
While we primarily focus on construction, we can recommend trusted pool maintenance professionals to keep your pool in top condition.
