Frequently Asked Questions

My new pool’s plumbing doesn’t work properly; can you fix it?

Yes! We diagnose and repair faulty plumbing, including leaks, poor circulation, incorrect pipe sizing and inefficient pump installations.

My pool equipment is brand new but keeps failing. What’s the issue?

Possible reasons include improper installation, incorrect pump sizing, air leaks, or electrical faults. We can inspect and correct these problems.

The tile and plaster work on my new pool looks terrible – can it be redone?

Absolutely. We can replace poor-quality tile work, resurface plaster and ensure a smooth, high-quality finish.

My pool is finished, but the water won’t stay clean – what’s wrong?

This could be due to an inadequate filtration system, improper chemical balance, or plumbing issues affecting circulation. We can assess and correct these problems.

How long does a pool rescue take?

The timeframe depends on the extent of repairs needed. Minor fixes may take a few weeks, while extensive restoration projects can take a few months.

Will I need permits to complete or restore my pool?

In many cases, yes, but we will handle all necessary permits and ensure compliance with local building codes.

How do I start the process of rescuing my pool?

Contact us for a consultation. We’ll perform a thorough inspection, provide a detailed restoration plan and work with you to get your pool back on track.

Can I customize my pool during the restoration process?

Absolutely! If you’re already investing in restoration, it’s the perfect time to upgrade features like lighting, water features, pool decks, and more.

Why is my pool water green?

Green pool water is usually caused by algae growth, poor filtration, low chlorine levels, or imbalanced pool chemistry.

How do I get my green pool back to blue?

To clear a green pool, shock the water with high levels of chlorine, brush and vacuum the pool and run the filter continuously.

How long does it take to turn a green pool blue?

With proper chemical treatment, filtration and cleaning, it can take anywhere from 24 hours to a few days to get your pool back to a deep, beautiful blue.

How can I prevent my pool from turning green again?

Maintain proper chlorine levels, regularly test water chemistry, clean the filter and use an algaecide as a preventative. We also have pool maintenance companies we are happy to recommend.

Does my pool filter need extra cleaning after algae removal?

Yes, after treating algae, clean or replace the filter to prevent recontamination.

What is the ideal chlorine level to prevent algae growth?

Chlorine levels should be maintained between 1-3 ppm (parts per million) to prevent algae growth.
